a little bit about me.

Thank you for viewing my work! My name is Ashleigh Wink and I am an instructional designer with a passion for building creative, inclusive, and accessible learning experiences.

I am a lifelong resident of Baltimore, MD and my background is in education, visual art, and design. After earning my MA in Teaching in 2013, I was an art educator for five years where I developed both middle- and high-school curricula, including college-level Advanced Placement Studio Art coursework. In 2019, I earned my MFA in Studio Art and transitioned into higher education as an adjunct instructor at the Art of Education University, where I have supported the development of adult learners to become amazing art teachers. I have also had the pleasure of collaborating with AOEU’s curriculum team and instructional designers to design and revise graduate-level studio courses for the online MA in Art Education degree program.

In 2023, I completed a certificate program in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, where I was able to deepen my understanding of course design best practices and utilize instructional design principles, theories, and strategies to develop a three-week color theory course for pre-college and incoming undergraduate learners. I also hold certifications as a QM-Certified Higher Education Peer Reviewer from Quality Matters, in Universal Design for Learning from CAST, and in Project Management from Google.

I am currently seeking a full-time instructional design position in higher education where I can leverage my creative background to collaborate and problem-solve with faculty and leadership to develop engaging and accessible courses, learning experiences, and instructional materials. I hope to work with you soon!
